Today @GladysB joined Minister Elliott, @robrfs & members of the Glenhaven Brigade to encourage residents to ‘Get Ready’ for the fire season and to announce a new NSW Bushfire Emergency Citation to recognise the outstanding contribution of firefighters last fire season. #NSWRFS https://t.co/9U1FJkDc81
Recent rain has resulted in good growth across much of NSW. While this is welcome, it does bring with it the risk of grass fires. This weekend we want everybody to consider what they can do to reduce their fire risk. Now is the time to ‘Get Ready’ for the fire season. #nswrfs https://t.co/sZ6kDaNJav
Great morning with our volunteers down at #NSWParliament speaking to Members from across #NSW about #GetReadyWeekend and prep for #fireseason. A busy weekend ahead with 470+ brigades holding events. Check out what’s on in your area: https://t.co/ZdCMApGgJc #bushfire #fire #NSWRFS https://t.co/VK8k9ndsNa
FACT: Lots of rain means more fuel for bush & grass fires. It only takes a few days of hot, dry and windy weather to cure grass and make it flammable. Make a bush fire survival plan so you know what you will do if there’s a bush or grass fire near you #getreadyweekend #nswrfs https://t.co/NZg7PYjCYj
It is disappointing that thieves broke in to the Central Coast Fire Control Centre and stole a vehicle early this morning. The Hyundai iLoad was found by fire crews after it was set alight. Anyone with information is urged to contact Wyong Police Station on 02 4356 6099. #NSWRFS https://t.co/EpOP7MASaW

Over the weekend the #NSWRFS State Championships were held at Inverell, Balldale and The Oaks. Competition was fierce in the junior and senior teams. Oakville Brigade in the Hawkesbury took out top prize for Seniors, Thurgoona from the Southern Border Team taking out the Juniors. https://t.co/AnAMnrIobc
